What a Weekend!

Miss Dance weekend is most definitely the most exciting weekend in the dancing diary. For every dancer who competes in festivals the dream is to get to dance at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool in front of an audience of 3,500 people.

The standard this year was unreal and the final six competitors were excellent. Our little firecracker Abbie Roebuck couldn't possibly have done the Hazel Bell School of Dance any prouder. It's particuarly hard performing a song and dance on such a vast stage and in front of a huge audience but she seemed completely at ease and sounded beautiful. Abbie was awarded the Ros Wicks Bursary which simply couldn't have made us any prouder.

We have both Abbie and Alicia Wilson competing for a place in the finals next year and we wish them all the luck in the world. Let the heats commence...!
